PNG to JPG conversion that actually shrinks files
PNG is the right format for logos, icons, screenshots and anything with crisp edges or transparency. But for photographs it produces enormous files. Converting those PNGs to JPG β a format built for photos β is one of the quickest ways to cut file size dramatically.
What happens to transparency
Because JPG has no alpha channel, PixelPress flattens transparent regions onto a clean white background during conversion. If preserving transparency matters, choose WebP instead, which keeps the alpha channel while still compressing well.
Set a size, not just a format
Unlike a plain converter, PixelPress lets you also target an exact KB size. Enter a value like 100KB, and the JPG output will be optimised to stay under it. Leave it blank to convert at high quality.
All processing is local β your PNG never leaves the browser tab.
