Privacy Policy

How PixelPress handles your images and data — in plain language.

Last updated: January 2025

The short version

PixelPress runs entirely in your web browser. When you resize or compress an image, that image is read, processed and saved on your own device. It is never uploaded to a server, never stored by us, and never shared with anyone.

Images and files

All image processing uses your browser's built-in Canvas technology. The files you select stay in your device's memory only for as long as the page is open, and are discarded when you close or refresh the tab. We have no server that receives, keeps, or transmits your images.

Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or payment details to use the tool. We do not collect or store the contents of your images or their metadata.

Cookies and analytics

The current version stores only small preferences (your chosen language and light/dark theme) in your browser's localStorage. In the future, this website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics or advertising cookies to keep the tool free. If that changes, this policy will be updated and, where required, you will be asked for consent. Third-party ad or analytics providers, if added later, would operate under their own privacy policies.

Your responsibility for content

You are responsible for the images you process and for ensuring you have the right to use them. Do not use PixelPress for content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
